COUN 80 – Understanding the Transfer Process is designed to
enable students to actively participate in planning their educational goals by
providing information about the requirements for transferring from a community
college to a university. Emphasis will also be on how to choose a transfer
university. The course will consist of lecture, guest speakers, and
student assignments. Use of college catalogs, printed directories, and the
Internet will be necessary to complete assignments (all available in the
Transfer Center). The course is transferable to the CSU for one unit of credit
and is offered in both full semester and short-course formats.
After successful completion of this course, you will be able
