ALLH 50 - EMT 1

ALLH 51 - EMT 1 - AMBULANCEambu

ALLH 50 - EMT 1 Registration Requirements for ALLH 50:  Students MUST submit a current copy of CPR card (either the *Healthcare Provider or *Professional Rescuer) and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray (within the last year).  Upon submission of these requirements to the Business Division Office, Vocational Building room 18 (384-6058), students will be given a voucher to register for class.
Advisories: ENGL 84, ALLH 67, a first aid course equivalent to the course offered by the American Red Cross.
Limitations on Enrollment: Negative TB skin test or negative chest x-ray for TB, a CPR course based on American Red Cross or American Heart Association that includes one and two rescuer CPR plus infant CPR.
Units: 6 units:  90 hours lecture, 54 hours lab
Course: Course is available each semester - usually scheduled on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.  This course and ALLH 51 meets the County Health Department requirements eligibility for application for the examination for Emergency Medical Technician I Certificate.

Students learn the overall skills and responsibilities of emergency medical technical.  These include emergency diagnosis and and treatment procedures.  Students also learn the use and care of emergency equipment.

ALLH 51 - EMT 1 - AMBULANCE Registration Requirements for ALLH 51:  Students MUST submit a current copy of CPR card (either the *Healthcare Provider or *Professional Rescuer), negative TB skin test or chest x-ray (within the last year) and valid California driver's license.  Upon submission of these requirements to the Business Division Office (Vocational room 18 (384-6058), students will be given a voucher to register for class.

Units: 1 unit:  18 total hours of lecture, plus 8 hours of field experience.  This is a short term course - two Saturdays (0800 - 1700) or one weekend.  Check current semester schedule of classes for exact dates and times.
