February 10 , 2005 Did you know… Offered through the Merced College Community Services Program, students can now take advantage of this exciting new method of instruction. Classes are presented over a six-week period, with two lessons delivered each week. The student simply downloads and completes the lesson in a given time frame. Lessons are supplemented by quizzes, assignments, tutorials and online discussions. Of course, students must have Internet access, an e-mail address and, if taking an applications class, the appropriate software. You may be wondering exactly what kinds of classes are available. From personal and career development to health care to continuing education to preparation classes, there are literally hundreds to choose from. You may be interested in Web Page Design, Accounting Fundamentals, or an introduction to Microsoft Excel 2000 or QuickBooks. How about PC Troubleshooting or Speed Spanish? Or, if you’ve ever considered a career in law you may want to sign up for the LSAT prep course. Want to freshen up your resume’? Sign up for the Resume’ Writing Workshop. Improve your career prospects by taking 12 Steps to a Successful Job Search. The list goes on and on. So, don’t put off advancing your education any longer.
