September 15, 2006 For students seeking to enroll in extra units, or for those who simply want to get that much closer to their educational goal, Merced College is offering a series of short-term classes. Many of these classes meet the breadth requirements necessary to transfer to a four-year institution. Mid-Term Schedules are available at Merced College and can also be accessed on-line at www.mccd.edu . Classes include Fundamentals of Speech, United States History and U.S. Constitution, Contemporary Health, Applied Calculus, and American Popular Music. Students can take classes in acting, life and career planning, child development, money management, and others. Most of the classes begin in mid-October.
