Merced College Drama Department presents:
Six
Short Plays by David Ives The Merced College Drama
Department’s fall production is a collection of short plays by an American
master of wit – David Ives. The original New York production was enjoyed by
critics and audiences alike, ran for over 600 performances, and won
Ives the Outer Critics Circle John Gassner Award for Playwriting. The collection of six
short plays include his classic favorites: Sure Thing –
a story of a couple in café trying to “get it right”, Words,
Words, Words, - a tale of three caged monkeys trying to reproduce
one of Shakespeare’s classics, and The Philadelphia – where
Mark and Al find themselves caught in a metaphysical time warp, accompanied
only by cheese steaks and Bud. The production opens at
8:00 pm on October 9th, with additional performances on October 10th, 16th,
and 17th at 8:00 pm, and October 11th and 18th at 2:00 pm. Tickets can be
purchased at the Merced College Theatre Box Office in advance or at the
door. Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $6 for students, faculty/staff and
