
Scott McCall
Head Coach
Coach McCall heads into his seventh year as head coach after 3 years of being the assistant. A Merced native he graduated from Merced high school in 1995. McCall lettered in swimming and water polo all four years and was a member of the 1994 CIF section championship water polo team. He then went on to Merced College were he was an All America in water polo under Coach Bob Pollitt. After receiving his AA he transferred to University of Massachusetts at Amherst. McCall played two years of water polo under Coach Russ Yarworth. During the two years Umass was the top team on the East coast winning the Eastern Championships in 1998 and making the NCAA final four. Scott graduated from Umass with a BS in Exercise Science.
McCall began his coaching career under Ricardo Azevedo
at Long Beach Shore Aquatics. For two years he
coached for Long Beach Shore and at Millikan High school in Long
Beach. While studying at CSULB he became a certified strength
and conditioning specialist through the NSCA. McCall graduated
from Long Beach with a MS in Kinesiology. McCall resides in
Merced with his wife Anne and their three children.
