Merced men’s water polo team finished the 2004 season with the end of the year banquet at the Branding Iron Restaurant. Sophomore Brett Hearn was voted Best Offensive player by his teammates having finished fourth in the state in scoring. Hearn also was selected first team All Conference, first team All NorCal, and first team All America. Freshman Josh Hall was voted Defensive stopper after being second in the state in blocks and selected second team All Conference and second team All Norcal. Sophomore Billy Halpin was given the coach’s award and selected Honorable Mention All Conference and Honorable Mention All Norcal.
