Allen
Huddleston
Head Coach
Allen is in
his twelth year as a coach for the women's basketball team, and
seventh year as Head Coach. In his eleven years he has an overall record of 270-130 (67.5%), and 105- 25 (80.8%) record in the Central Valley Conference.
Allen is very
active in recruiting. He does the setup the defensive side of the ball,
scouts opponents, and works with the post players.
Allen is a graduate of Merced College with an A.A. Degree in Liberal Studies. He received his BA from California State Stanislaus majoring in Kinesiology. His currently working on his Masters Degree. Fulltime, Allen teaches classes in the Life and Fitness Division at Merced College. Allen and his wife have one son in Allen jr.

Mike
Sanchez
First Assistant Coach
Mike is in
his seventh year coaching for the Blue Devils. The Yreka, CA native
first came to Merced College to play basketball for Coach Bill Russell.
As an assistant coach he will have his hands full this coming year, working with the guards. He spends a lot of time working on the fundimentals of the point guard position. Mike also scouts opponents and does the strength and conditioning for the team. Mike works at the College as head maintanence for the fitness lab. He and his wife Andrea along with their son Myles and daughter Addison live in Atwater. |

Danny Crosby
Assistant Coach
Dan brings with him over 10 years of coaching experience, two years playing experience at Modesto High School, and played on a traveling basketball team while in the U.S. Army. Dan will be concentrating on the offenisve part of the game for the Lady Blue Devils. Starting in 1994 Dan coached at LeGrand Jr. High School for two years. Dan has coached at LeGrand High School since 1996 to the present. He has been the freshmen boys head coach for two years, J.V. Boys one year, and Varsity Head Coach for two years. Currently Dan is in his third year as the Varsity Girls basketball head coach. His varsity boys team, and in the two previous years as girls head coach he has taken the team to the playoffs.
While being an assistant coach at Merced College, Dan coaches varsity girls basketball at LeGrand High School, and he is the PostMaster in LeGrand, CA. Dan is married to Esidalia and they have two kids Adrian aged 12, and Monique aged 9.

Corey Edmiston
Assistant Coach
Corey returned
last year to coach at Merced College after having been an assistant
coach/video coordinator for the University of Washington women’s
basketball team. For the Lady Blue Devils, Corey will be coaching
the post players. He is a former Blue Devil himself having played
for Coach Bill Russell during the mid 1990s, and from 2002-2006 he
was on the women’s coaching staff. He has a bachelors degree from
California State University, Stanislaus and a masters degree from
St. Mary’s College. He is an instructor in the Life Fitness Division
at the College. Corey lives in Turlock and has two children (Cayden
and Drew). |

RD Singleton
Assistant Coach
RD is a former men’s basketball
player. He has been with the Lady Blue Devils for the past six
years. Though RD is not always there on the bench during the games,
he can be found scouting the future Lady Blue Devils. Both he and
Coach Castillo coach the post players.
