2008 For the second time in the last three seasons the Lady Devils have captured the Bay Valley Conference Championship. The winning margin was 1490 points to runner-up Solano College’s 610 points. The Devils doubled the runner-ups score to dominate this years championships. The Lady Swimmers won 15 out of the possible 20 events which included the five winning relays and 1 and 3 meter diving. Of of the highlights of this year was conference champion and State Finalist Diver (1 & 3 meter) Katie Copenhagen. Katie set a new school record in the (6) dive 3 meter diving event with a score of 220.95. Katie finished fourth in both the 1 & 3 meter diving at the State Meet. The swimmers were lead by conference champions Tiffany Swiggart (50, 100, and 200 freestyle), Liz-Ann Jaggernauth 100 I.M., Stephanie Ingham (200 I.M. and 100 butterfly), and Carly Brown (50 and 100 breaststroke). These girls composed in various ways were on the five winning relays. Rounding out this years team were conference scorers Kara Andrews, Summer Azevedo, Gabby Bettencourt, Julianne Bigler, Marily Brammer, Sarah Geiss, Masami Hosada, Britt Howell, Imamura Ryoko, Charlotte Janz, Teresa Johnston, Patricia O’Neill, Kristen Randall, and Shelby West. “Our championship season was very rewarding. Everyone had their best time at the conference championship and everyone scored to make it a try TEAM EFFORT!”
