Teaching and Learning Center Moves to Library
Many of the activities of Merced
College's Teaching and Learning Center will take place in Library
Meeting Room 202 in the 2008-2009 school year. A collection of
professional resources will be available in the room and information
on professional staff development will be posted there as well. For

04/18/2008 - New Media for Students
The Library has recently received
several movies on DVD (both gifts from the community and purchased
titles). Come check out the expanded collection of films that
reflect literature, biography, and documentary film making.
The Library received an amazing gift from Mary Rojas of 8,000 music
CDs from the music library of her late husband Dr. Federico Rojas.
Dr. Rojas had a great love for music from around the world and from
all genres. We are grateful that his music library will be available
for Merced College students and faculty. While it will take us years
to catalog the entire gift, new CDs will start appearing on the
media shelf in Summer 2008.

Extra Open Hours on Fridays Extended
The Merced College Library
normally closes at noon on Fridays. Thanks to Title V funding, the
Library will remain open an extra two hours until 2 p.m. on Fridays
through the Fall 2008 semester.
