Dear Student, 

The Merced College Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa will be collecting Used and Unwanted College Textbooks, especially those books that you are unable to sell back at buyback. 

Which books will qualify?

• College textbooks and study guides (with copyright dates from the past 5 years; highlighting and/or writing in books is fine)
• Any book used in a college class
• Workbooks (with no missing pages)
• In general, books that cover college subject matter

(i.e. Math, Science, Business, Literature, Engineering, Health, Psychology, Foreign Language, History, Business, Philosophy, Sociology, Computer Science, Anthropology, Government, etc.)

• Accompanying CD’s

Where can you donate?

Place your used textbooks in the green collection boxes around campus from Monday through Friday during finals week:

• The Quad near the Bookstore
• Study Central
• IAC Computer Lab

Where do the proceeds go?

This Better World Books drive benefits the National Center for Family Literacy.  Books collected will be put up for sale online to raise funding (100% of profits, after all costs, will go to NCFL as unrestricted funding) for family literacy programs. Book drives like this one have raised over $80,000 for NCFL in just the last year, and the Center has received over 25,000 books!
