Dear Merced College Family,

                As everyone is aware our nation is in dire straights right now, and Merced is no exception. While attending a meeting this week, I was told of the growing numbers of homeless and hungry in our community. One organization that has stepped in to help with the growing need is Sierra Presbyterian Church, but they can not do it alone.  In trying to do our part, the ASMC has at the last minute decided to hold a FOOD DRIVE in combination with CLUB RUSH WEEK.

                We hope that the faculty and staff can do their best in helping the ASMC  get the word out and encourage students to donate.  We understand everyone is having to tighten their belts, but we hope that once again MCCD can pull together to help those in need.

Time: 11pm-3pm

During ASMC’s “club rush” week we will be having a CANNED FOOD and SUPPLIES DRIVE!! All items collected will be donated to Sierra Presbyterian Church .

Paper products

Please drop off items from 11pm-3pm at the ASMC table next to the kiosk in the QUAD. Any time outside of those hours please take items to the ASMC office!!!
