With Safari web browser with Block Pop-Up Windows
enabled as shown below, you will not be notified whether your Safari is
blocking the pop-up window or not when you visit a website that brings out
the popup window such as www.cnn.com.
You need to disable by deselecting Block Pop-Up
Windows as shown below.
Or
Select Preferences…
Click Security tab and uncheck Block pop-up windows
option under Web Content category as shown below.
