Online & Hybrid classes use Merced College's Blackboard learning management system to deliver and assess your learning. Currently, most of the internet-based classes require some time on campus in face-to-face contact with the instructor. This requirement will vary from class to class, so read the schedule of classes carefully.
- Online Classes are 100% online. Face-to-face interaction with the professor is not required.
- Hybrid Classes have some combination of online and face-to-face instruction. Some course may only require one face-to-face session, while others may require numerous in-class sessions.
- Web-Enhanced: Regular courses are held on campus but some assignments are online.
For more information, see the "Online and Hybrid Instruction" section in the current printed schedule of classes.
*Note: Merced College will be transitioning to Canvas learning management system starting in Fall 2017. All online classes will be using the Canvas platform by Fall 2018.
