Associated Students of Merced College (ASMC) exists for the purpose of preserving, protecting, and defending students’ rights, academic freedom, and representative student government; to promote the educational, social, and cultural opportunities of Merced College; to assist the enjoyment of the diversity of Merced College and the community at large; and to advocate for full student participation in the affairs of Merced College. ASMC OFFICE LOCATION The office is located next to the College Bookstore in the Student Union Building. Please use the door to the immediate left of the College Bookstore's front door.

ASMC COUNCIL MEETINGS Council meetings take place every Tuesday from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm in Student Union 137 (southeast corner of Student Union Building, nearest to the Gym). The Council does not meet the first week of each semester, during finals weeks, or during the summer or winter breaks. Agenda items must be submitted in writing before 12:00 noon on the Thursday before the intended meeting. Agendas will be posted in the window of the ASMC Office on Thursday afternoons. In accordance with the Brown Act, action items will not be added to the Agendas after this deadline.
