About PTK • Phi Theta Kappa
What Is PTK?
Phi Theta Kappa is an honor society, not to be confused with a fraternity or sorority. Phi Theta Kappa is meant to recognize the academic achievements of community college students, encourage students to excel academically, and provide students with the opportunity to become active participants and leaders in their community and school.

The Phi Theta Kappa Mission Statement
“The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity through the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence.”
