Taking the Honors Challenge

The Honors Program at Merced College is designed to provide a learning environment that fosters creative thinking and discussion.

The purpose of Honors classes is to offer challenging assignments and learning activities that will spark intellectual curiosity, while sharpening the skills required for transfer and career success.

The instructors in the Honors Program are dedicated to academic excellence, but they are also aware that genuine education is linked to creative expression and personal growth. They are firmly committed to providing an educational setting in which such expression and growth can be nurtured.
