The Basic Needs Center is intended to be a one-stop, single location for all currently enrolled students to access basic needs services and resources linking students to on- and off-campus housing, food, mental health, and other basic needs. Note on Housing: At this time Merced College Basic Needs does not provide financial assistance for housing. Please see the housing tab for off campus resources.

    Everyday staples and fresh and frozen foods plus hygiene products and a clothes closet!

    Find health and wellness resources in our area.

  • CalFresh

    CalFresh is for people with low-income who meet federal income eligibility rules and want to add to their budget to put healthy and nutritious food on the table.

  • Housing

    Find housing resources in our area.

  • Food Providers

    Find food provider resources in our area.

  • Internet & Technology

    Find assistance for laptops, desktop computers, and iPads. Plus, resources for internet discount programs.

Bag of Food

As of June 1st students will be allowed 1 bag of food per month. Students will be required to sign in each time they visit the Basic Needs Center and are allowed 1 snack & 1 drink per day.

If you face challenges securing food, housing or other basic needs, you are not alone, and Merced College can help during this time of crisis. We invite you to learn about the many resources available to support you through Merced College’s Basic Needs Center (Food Pantry). You can visit us in person at the Merced Campus in Room #104 of the Student Union Building and at the Los Banos Campus in Building A, Room #129.
