Counseling and Guidance

Faculty in the Guidance Division provide counseling and other supportive services to students in various offices across the campus. Counselors located in the Administration Building and on the Los Banos Campus provide general counseling for all students. Guidance Division members also provide counseling for students receiving services through specialized programs, such as, Extended Opportunities Programs and Services (EOPS), Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSPS), Title V, Puente, CalWORKS, International Students and the Transfer Center.

Campus Map

Counselors often begin by assisting with registration and end by evaluating for completion of graduation and/or transfer requirements. Along the way, counselors provide a wide range of services including, academic, personal, and career counseling, Guidance Courses, referrals to both on and off campus services and other assistance to help students reach their educational goals.

These courses and services help facilitate:

In addition to the general courses, the Division also provides specialized courses and/or specialized supportive services to several populations, including, Student Athletes, Veterans, Re-Entry Students, Students on Academic Probation, and Undeclared Students.

A full complement of Guidance and Counseling services is also available on the Los Banos Campus.
