                                       Ultrasonography Program, if offered.

Praneet Sharma was selected as the outstanding student for the month of October.  He was born and raised in the Fiji Islands where he finished his high school, then moved to New Zealand to pursue a business degree, and finally migrated to the US in 1992.  

He began his studies at Merced College in the fall of 1998, and will complete his studies in the Radiography Program in December 2000.  His academic performance has been outstanding and is reflected in his superior grade point average.

Besides his busy schedule as a student, he manages to reconcile a full time job at Doctors' Medical Center in Modesto, volunteering at his church, and being the father of two small children.

His future goals include transferring to Stanislaus State University to obtain his B.S., and eventually returning to Merced College to enroll in an Ultrasonography Program, if offered.
