OUTSTANDING STUDENT FOR NOVEMBER 2009 Eivet Rouelnejad has been chosen as the November
Outstanding Student for the Month of November at Merced College.
She was born and raised in Iran, and moved to Turlock almost 10
years ago. Eivet enjoys
spending time with family, who has been very supportive throughout the
years. In her free time she
enjoys playing sports and watching movies with family and friends. Merced College Professor Judy Rose had multiple
reasons for nominating Eivet for Student of the Month.
"To begin with," said Rose, "Eivet has completed 62.5 units with
a 4.00 G.P.A. Since English
is not her first language, she spends whatever time she must to earn the
grades she earns."
Rouelnejad is always willing to share her understanding of topics with
her classmates. "She is
self-motivated, confident, responsible, and very professional," adds
Rose. Rouelnejad was also recognized by the California
Society of Radiologic Technologists at their last year's annual
Conference. She was the
recipient of the Anna Ames Clinical Excellence Award.
The criteria for selection includes: clinical excellence,
professionalism, and nurturing and caring.
She was selected because she demonstrates a high potential for
success in the radiologic technology profession and most closely follows
the professional excellence emulated by Ms. Ames.
Rouelnejad's GPA is 4.0 and she plans to continue her education in the fields of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Sonography. She has received special recognition from the Merced College Board of Trustees for being the Student of the Month. The Administration and Faculty congratulate Rouelnejad for all her hard work. |
