Social Sciences
The focus of the Social Sciences program is to serve students with a wide range of educational and career goals. The Social Science majors are designed for students planning to major in social science at one of the California State Universities. Students should work with their counselors for specific university requirements.

The Merced College Department of Political Science is designed to help introduce students in developing knowledge, analytical skills and critical insights into the nature of politics, political problems, political systems and power relationships in the United States and around the world.
