In this issue–November is certainly the month for gratitude. And so, we thought it was appropriate to focus this month’s issue of the Blue Devil’s Advocate on those two themes that are such an important part of our culture at Merced College: gratitude and generosity.

In this issue–October is Global Diversity Awareness Month, and so we are taking this opportunity to highlight our robust and growing efforts in celebrating diversity and promoting equity and inclusivity. From mentoring and support services for foster youth and veterans to special graduation gatherings to celebrate Black students, LGBTQ+ students and more, our teams are working tirelessly to ensure all students feel welcome and find opportunities to thrive on their academic journeys.

In this issue–The Fall 2024 semester comes to life with the opening of our Dreamscape Learn Lab and the new AgTEC certificate program. And as we recognize Hispanic Heritage Month, which begins on Sept. 15, we celebrate the rich cultural and professional contributions that enrich our community.

In this issue–we continue to celebrate the success of over 600 students at Merced College’s main campus and 80 at the Los Banos Campus during the recent Commencement ceremonies, while also highlighting achievements including the growth of nursing programs, professional development, and recognition of exemplary employees.
