Adult Literacy

The goal of this program is to provide literacy instruction to support students in improving their reading and writing skills for their personal growth, careers, or to transition to college-level coursework. Students will develop their reading fluency and accuracy as well as their ability to write coherently and grammatically. Success is measured by a student’s ability to comprehend texts at an appropriate level and to compose coherent written communication appropriate for introductory academic and workforce audiences.
 
This program meets our community needs by providing various levels of literacy instruction for career-oriented students or students who are underprepared for college-level English classes.
