Required Prevention and Education Awareness Training
At Merced College, sexual assault prevention education begins before a student steps foot on campus as a Blue Devil. All incoming students must watch the Prevention Education Awareness video as part of their orientation activities.
“Love Hub” Healthy Relationship Tabling Fair
Celebrate and learn more about consent and healthy relationships! Join us for interactive activities: Make your own custom buttons, v-day cards, and healthy relationship vision boards. Take a break and destress with relaxing coloring pages. Strike a pose with fun props and receive a print to take home. Grab free and limited edition merch to spread prevention messages across campus. Enter in our raffle for the chance to win an exciting prize! Learn more about resources available to students in need of support.

Dating is tough, right? We all know the struggle. But don’t settle for less – you deserve healthy relationships! Join us for a fun and interactive workshop where we’ll help you figure out your wants, desires, and boundaries. You’ll learn how to practice consent, navigate conflict, communicate your needs, and build connections that don’t suck.

Bystander Intervention Workshops
We offer 45-minute in-person bystander education workshops for students, faculty, and staff. Merced College uses an inclusive, comprehensive approach to teach skills to be involved bystanders and caring supporters who look out for one another. Learn to recognize signs of sexual violence. Gain the skills to support your peers in potentially harmful situations. Everyone can safely and effectively stop sexual violence before it starts!

Healthy Relationship Workshops
Explore the elements of respectful, positive relationships. Learn to recognize potential signs of unhealthy dynamics. Get educated about resources for help for yourself or a loved one.

Safety Planning Workshops
Join us for a workshop that empowers survivors to navigate their circumstances with greater security and confidence. We will learn the signs of unhealthy relationships, discuss resources for support, and learn the elements of a basic safety plan. Journaling and crafts are included upon request!
