LatinX FIG

The Merced College Latinx Faculty Inquiry Group (FIG) is a collective of dedicated educators committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and culturally responsive learning environment for Latinx students. The group focuses on professional development, collaborative inquiry, and the implementation of best practices to address the unique needs of the college’s Latinx community. Through initiatives such as curriculum enhancement, community engagement, and data-driven strategies, the Latinx FIG aims to improve student retention, success, and a sense of belonging. By championing culturally relevant pedagogy and promoting equity, the group plays a vital role in supporting Merced College’s mission as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI).
